Design is not like maths

Design is not like maths

To all of you people giving feedback on someone's presentations. Team managers and leaders, that includes you as well.

During a recent consulting engagement where I had to review multiple presentations, I noticed something worth sharing. The people I worked with were trying to design their slides exactly as their manager wants them. Seemed like (but I might be very wrong!) this manager had a very clear idea on how exactly these need to look.

Everyone, listen. Designing something is not like solving an equation where the answer is one and only one. Here, there could be multiple solutions. All of which - great.

Don't mix an exact science with a creative process. There's a difference.
