Nicte Cuevas is a Brand Strategist and Graphic Designer, who also creates branding, color psychology, and design courses for LinkedIn Learning. She works with both large corporations and small enterprises, focusing on empathy-driven ways for connecting with audiences and helping to drive their brand story through color psychology, strategic visual messaging, and the integration of all messaging tools.

Her session was all about Apple Keynote – one of the main presentation platforms on the market. She brought our audience behind the scenes of what is possible with Apple Keynote so that you see what this tool is capable of and offered a fresh perspective on how you can use Apple Keynote to elevate your brand story to new heights.

Do you know how a first impression may be made in less than two seconds? While you will not show up to a presentation looking sloppy, your slide deck might be a mess if you include too many visuals or content. How we present is part of an experience that we create, and when you show up with too much information on your slides, you distract or confuse your audience. And we have all seen presentations full of wonderful knowledge, but when there is too much on the screen, it gets lost.

In her session, Nicte advised on how to be better than that, like – for example, to always make sure your audience is paying attention to you, the person speaking, instead of trying to figure out what it is they see on your slide deck.

And here’s another one from her – Nicte stated that our eyes first notice shapes, then color, and last the words of the text. Instead of using bullet points, she likes to use a shape and write inside of it; otherwise, the bullet point circles next to your text distract from your message, whereas the shape will assist you to focus on your content.

Nicte continued by explaining why she prefers to work with Apple Keynote – she likes the smooth user experience, the easy cross-device editing, and the fact that Keynote and all its updates come free with your Apple devices. Of course, there’s the higher price of those devices, but hey, that’s one of the things they are famous for..
