Train The Trainer at SoftUni (Mistake 39 of 50): Weak End
Spelling and grammar mistakes? No, thank you.
Let’s discuss a really critical one now that I saw in almost every presentation during the Train the Trainer course at Software University.
Mistake: Ending a presentation with: “That was it”.
Why is this a problem: You are missing a great opportunity to make your presentation more memorable and effective.
Solution: Here’s a structure you can follow for ending your presentations:
- Summary – tell what you talked about
- Call to action – tell them what they need to do next
- New world – tell them what will change for them if they do the above
Example: So what did we discuss today – we went through the first steps you need to follow in order to make your first C# application(1). I would definitely recommend you go through those again at least 2 or 3 times more(2) because without being 100% sure in those, you will have a serious problem in your future career as a developer.(3)
Here, now you are 39 steps closer to becoming a great trainer. ?
