Train The Trainer at SoftUni (Mistake 31 of 50): Hands Behind The Back
We discussed the “no eye contact” problem in the previous post. Now onto another issue, let’s call it, that I myself also struggled a ton with when I started my “presentation career”.
Mistake: Keeping your hands behind your back.
Why is this a problem: People think you are hiding something from them. What are you holding? Is that something interesting? Is that something important? Why are you not showing them? You don’t want those and similar questions in the heads of your audience…
Solution: Remove your hands from behind your back and keep them somewhere in the area of your chest. Try to gesticulate. If you that in the area of your chest your audience will be seeing both your face and your gestures easily.
Here, now you are 31 steps closer to becoming a great trainer. ?
