Train The Trainer at SoftUni (Mistake 30 of 50): No Eye Contact

We discussed the “hiding” problem in the previous post. Now onto another issue, let’s call it, that I myself also struggled a ton with when I started my “presentation career”.

Mistake: No eye contact.

Why is this a problem: If you want to convince your audience and make them believe what you believe, you have to look them in the eyes. Otherwise, they won’t believe you and what’s more, they may start thinking that you are even lying them…

SolutionPrepare your material incredibly well so that you don’t have to think about it. Then tell yourself that in the next few presentations the only thing you need to be focused at is to make eye contact with your audience. Monitor yourself and don’t give up. It won’t be an easy task, but without creating this connection with your audience, you are more or less doomed to failure.

Here, now you are 30 steps closer to becoming a great trainer. ?
