Train The Trainer at SoftUni (Mistake 4 of 50): Presentation Pointer
The previous post was on a speaker/trainer/presenter not bringing their own device for their presentation. Huge mistake. Now, let’s discuss another mistake from the train the trainer course.
Mistake: Not having and not using a pointer (clicker)
Why is this a problem: Simple stuff – you are disrupting the flow of your presentation. You have to go to your computer, click a button, then go back in front of the audience and then again. And again. And again…
Solution: If you want to become a professional trainer, buy a pointer. There are cheap models too. We have already written an article for the one that I am personally using. If you don’t want to buy such a device or you are not able to do so immediately, then use a wireless mouse or your smartphone – all modern mobile OSs can be turned into a remote clicker.
Here, now you are four steps closer to becoming a great trainer. ?
