33 (cool number, right?) was about demos that are not suitable for your audience. Now another small one that I personally noticed in the dozens of presentations I seen during the Train the Trainer course.

Mistake: Not introducing the demo

Why is this a problem: The demos, together with your slides, should be as easily understandable to your audience as possible. If you “ask” the audience to figure out what you are showing them in the demo, you are not making them a favor. Simply said, you can do it better!

Solution: Before starting the demo, simply summarize in one or two sentences what you are going to be showing.
