Export Slides From Canva to PowerPoint

1. Saving a Canva presentation as a PowerPoint file

When you are ready with the slides in Canva, just click on the Share button located in the upper right corner, then go to More

… and scroll down until you see the Microsoft PowerPoint option. (You can also type it in the Search field to spare yourself the scrolling). This will save the presentation as a .pptx file.

Note: Make sure that you own the images in your Canva presentation or they’re free to use, unless you’re on the Canva Pro version.

This will be the confirmation you should see before downloading your Canva presentation as a PowerPoint document.

2. Open presentation in PowerPoint

When you open your presentation in PowerPoint you’ll notice that your design looks different. If you don’t have the fonts you used in Canva on your computer, you will see a different font. However, you can find this font on the internet and download it. Alternatively, you can replace it with a font that you already have in PowerPoint.

Another thing that may not work after the .pptx export are Canva charts. In PowerPoint they will turn out like simple shapes, meaning they’re not considered charts anymore.

If you don’t need your chart to be editable just fix the text the way that you want. But if you need a real chart that you can easily edit, you have to make it again in PowerPoint.
