It’s easy to install fonts on a desktop. But how do you get your iPad fonts in order? Let’s guide you through the process and show you a few ways to install multiple fonts at once on Apple’s tablet.
Open your iPad Settings.
Tap the General menu.
There’s a tab called Fonts inside. Tapping it will most likely show you the screen from below, notifying you that there are no fonts installed right now. It’s going to prompt you to open the App Store to find an app that helps you install fonts.

There are tons of apps on the App Store, but for this tutorial, we’ll use the one called iFont. It’s free, though you have to pay if you want to remove the ads.
This is how the app looks like in the store:

You’ll get a short tutorial inside with a few of the app’s main features. Tap on the Start button and you will jump to the main interface of the app.

iFont offers a few different sources of free fonts, such as Google Fonts and Fontspace, but what’s most important here is the first option – Open Files.
How to install custom & paid fonts on your iPad
Using the Open Files menu you can browse and find the zipped .TTF and .OTF files on your iPad or cloud locations like OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.
In case you don’t have any of these cloud services connected for file sharing, you can just send the .TTF and .OTF font files to your iPad using email to download the files straight to your tablet.

After you’ve located the zipped font files, click on the Import to iFont button to create a new configuration profile.

Now you will be able to see all the fonts and typefaces in the Files tab of the iFont app. All of them are now ready to install on your iPad.
To install them all at once just click the Select button and then the purple Install button.
This will prompt you to “Allow” the creation of the configuration profile on your iPad.

This was the first part of the installation. To complete installing the fonts, go to your iPad Settings again and you will see a new menu on the left side called Profile Downloaded.

Tap on it and you will see a new popup where you need to tap the Install button.

You will see this screen when your configuration profiles are installed on your iPad. Now the only thing you need to do is go back to your iPad’s General settings and tap on Fonts again.

After you’ve installed the new configuration profiles, you will be able to see all of your new fonts here. Simply tap on a font to view the typefaces inside.

Congratulations, that’s it!
Now you’re ready to start designing anything on your iPad using any font you want to have in your presentations, emails, or any other designs.
